Pigeon Forge's Titanic opened in 2010 as the flagship of a simple, serious idea: build the ship at half scale — 100 feet tall, bow parting a wave-shaped pool, anchor and rivets faithful — and fill it as a memorial that happens to be a world-class attraction. Its founders came from Titanic expedition documentary work, and the care shows in the signature gesture: every visitor receives a boarding pass bearing the name, age, and story of an actual 1912 passenger or crew member, carried gallery to gallery until the Memorial Room's wall of 2,208 names answers the question you've been carrying too.
The 20 galleries rotate some 400 authentic artifacts — recovered letters and personal effects, White Star Line china, deck chairs, life jackets, items donated by survivors' families — woven with recreations built to the shipyard drawings: the first-class grand staircase under its glass dome (climb it; the photo is included), first- and third-class cabins for the telling contrast, the bridge, and the wireless room. The interactive floor is what kids remember: plunging a hand into 28-degree water, standing on decks tilted to the ship's final angles, gripping an iceberg, shoveling "coal," and sending Morse code.
Visits are self-paced with an included audio guide — about two hours for most, longer for history-lovers — and timed entry keeps the ship civilized; book ahead for summer, October weekends, and the Winterfest season, when the ship dresses for the holidays. It stands mid-Parkway, impossible to miss, and pairs with WonderWorks or Alcatraz East for a full indoor day when the mountains disappear into rain.

Yes — about 400 authentic Titanic and White Star Line pieces on rotating display, alongside faithful recreations like the grand staircase, cabins, and bridge.
What's the boarding pass about?
Each guest enters as a real 1912 passenger or crew member and discovers their fate in the Memorial Room at the end, where all 2,208 souls are named. Kids receive child passengers' stories.
Is it okay for kids?
Very — it's interactive throughout and the subject is handled as a memorial, so the ending lands honestly but gently. The water, iceberg, and sloping decks are favorites.
How long does it take?
About two hours at a comfortable self-guided pace with the included audio tour.
Is this the same as the Branson one?
Same owners, same care — Pigeon Forge is the original and slightly larger. The boarding-pass ritual and Memorial Room anchor both.
